Frank Montelongo is 5-year Civil Engineering with Geospatial Option he is planning on graduating in May of 2023. He enjoys surveying because it sends him to fun and different places. Frank Montelongo currently interns with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District. While at his internship Frank Montelongo assisted the civil engineering department with design plans for a wide range of projects from dam spillway redesigns, to culvert planning and many others. Currently Frank is working as the US Army Corps of Engineers Prado Construction office where he assists the office with managing several projects, including a levee project spanning nearly ¾ of a mile intended to help protect people’s homes, A bluff protecting project design to help with stopping bluff erosion threating people’s homes and several military base upgrade programs. During his internship frank has learned to work with a wide array of programs and tools such as MicroStation, Civil 3D, Revit, total Stations and the newly devolved construction drone program that frank help to setup when arriving at the Prado construction office. ​
